Gogango is a rural town located within the local government area of Rockhampton Regional Council in Queensland. The suburb is near natural landmarks such as mountains and national parks. Among these tourist sites include the Sebastopol Mountain, Mount Macintosh, Mount Wheal and Mount Battery. The Goodedulla National Park is the nearest protected area in Gogango. The wildlife refuge can only be easily reached through four-wheel drive vehicles. The park offers visitors with different activities such as camping, bird watching and bushwalking. Designated campsites are assigned throughout the park’s more than 26,000 hectares of land. Among the wildlife species that can be seen in the area include emus, echidnas and grey kangaroos.
