Bellara, a suburb in Moreton Bay Region, is located on the west side of Bribie Island. Bellara residents are, on average, people in their 50s. About 77 percent of the residents in Bellara were born in Australia, while others migrated from the Netherlands, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand and England.
Bellara is known for the Bellara Park, which is an equestrian centre. Bellara Park offers horse breaking and riding lessons to locals and visitors. They also sell a variety of horses. The park sits on 65 acres of land. Many horse groups hold events in the park’s indoor arena. Other facilities in Bellara Park include a 60-seater grand stand, an outside jump arena, seven stables, a round yard and wash bays for the horses.
