I kept my 2 dogs at Whitsunday Pet Resort just after the cyclone and several times before and would highly recommend them. I have complete piece of mind knowing they are safe and been extremely we'll looked after. They even gave me updates while I was away. I have a small dog who has some huge issues without allowing anyone to get near him, he was a rescue dog that couldnt be rehomed, they spend the time with him he needs and when I go pick him up Im amazed everytime that he not only lets them near him but he loves getting affection from them.. I have been working in the pet industry for over 20years part of it in kennels, veterinarians and dog training and it proves to me they understsnd dogs physically, emotionally and mentally they are very caring, passionate and professional and my dogs always come out smelling lovely and clean.. Thanks Lynda and Graham, Sue and all the other staff who all bonded with my crazy Baxter.

I have been vetting for25 years and I wish to say how happy I am for this district that we have a Pet Resort cared for and managed so professionally and with such commitment as John and Linda do . Day in day out. Thank you for your service to our pets and all the best for 2016!!

I constantly worry about my furkids when I go away, but when they are with John and Linda I know they will be fine and the worrying is eased tremendously! I know they cant get out and I know that they will only be given then best care ever in a safe environment.

A big thank you to Linda and John for taking such good care of my lovely rag doll. It was the second time he stayed this time for 10 days. It was obvious he was loved up, groomed and healthy when I picked him up. The facilities are great but what makes it special are Linda and John. Simply the best. We recently left our much loved 6mo "Busta" with Linda & John for 9 days. We can't rave enough, they got to know our little man & looked after him so well he even learnt a new trick! A big HIGH FIVE to you both... this is Busta's second home, we'll be back for sure!!!

I am so grateful I came across Whitsunday Pet Resort, the attention to detail is outstanding. While traveling through my Maltese/poodle Belle was looked after with lots of love and cuddles. Special food requests, lots of games she like to play and a beautiful clean and happy dog to greet you. Amazing!!! Can't wait to come back again next year. Very happy xx

I have been absolutely delighted with the amazing care and service I receive from Linda and John at Whitsunday Pet Resort. I've had my handsome rascal Samson, a poodle x shitzu/maltese, stay with them about half a dozen times since they have taken over the property. He literally pulls me along the path as he can't wait to see them again. They've also given Samson extra care and consideration when they had him not long after being desexed. He developed an infection and they took him straight to the vets so he could be attended to and kept me fully informed every step of the way. He's happy, clean and healthy every time I pick him up and I'm regaled with pictures and numerous stories about his stay. I highly recommend this kennel.

We used to drive 5hrs to Rockhampton to put our two boys in the kennels there, but when John & Linda purchased the local Whitsunday Pet Resort, we decided to give them a try to save the long drive to Rockhampton. Our boys absolutely LOVED it. John and Linda are two VERY experienced dog lovers, and made us feel at complete ease leaving our boys there. Our boys have stayed with them a few times now, and each time I can happily go away on holidays stress free without worrying about my two spoilt pooches! John and Linda are both very down to earth, and you can see the minute you walk in that they are professional, experienced and most importantly passionate about what they do, and the service they offer. My two boys always come home super happy, and they no longer stress the minute they see us pack their stuff and pop them in the car to go to the pet resort! (I honestly think they look forward to their own little holidays now!) I can't thank John & Linda enough for looking after our boys each time- it's wonderful to know they are in great hands!

I am a local resident of Airlie Beach and extremely grateful for the wonderful service that John and Linda provide at Whitsunday Pet Resort. I have on many occasion left my pure bred Russian Blue cat in the care of Linda and John and have been extremely pleased with the love and care that my cat receives while staying there. I also know of many locals and friends who visit the area who are very satisfied with the care that their pets receive. As a pet owner I am glad that they do their best to ensure a safe, comfortable, clean, parasite free environment for the animals. I always ensure my cat is up to date with her injections, worming and parasite free and never have a problem and always welcomed by John and Linda. I know my local vet is really happy with the standards that are offered at Whitsunday Pet Resort. I have no hesitation in recommending this business to any dog or cat lover wanting somewhere to leave their pet while on holiday.

We leave our beloved Ragdolls, Tosca & Waffles, with Whitsunday Pet Resort every month as we travel a lot for work. Compared to other kennels I've left my furry friends in, this is the best kennel I've seen on a lot of levels. Since the new owners, Karen & John, took it over it doesn't smell anymore, it's always clean, it's had a makeover, they have better food, new cat furniture, better kitty litter and our puddas always come home smelling beautiful. These guys are great and care for our cats like they're their own. They always brush them, tell me stories about their time there when we've been away, they treat them like they're my real human kids and I can tell that our puddas are a lot happier staying there since they took over. I left my dog at the kennels for one night which I had booked prior. When I was dropping my dog off Karen (owner) asked me if I would like my dog to be washed & that she would do it in the morning rather than that night so he would be dried off. After we agreed on a time I could pick him up she then asked me if I would like a normal wash for $15 or the flea & tick for $25. When I realised there was a cost & it wasn't a courtesy wash which I had received before at my usual kennels I declined the wash. After I declined she then proceeded to ask me if my dog had fleas which I informed her he didn't. She wanted proof that he didn't have fleas & that if she found even one flea on him she would do a flea wash which would cost me $25. I responded by saying I didn't think that was fair as he was an inside dog & I knew he didn't have fleas & that she could say she found a flea & I would have to pay for a wash he didn't need. Had I known these conditions prior to booking I wouldn't have left him there but because I'd traveled from out of town I had no choice as I had nowhere else to leave him. I had a friend with me & she witnessed everything that was said. When I picked him up the following morning I was then charged a public holiday fee which once again Karen had not informed me of when I rang for a price. What made the whole situation worse was that at no time did Karen or her husband (who she got to talk to me) listen to my concerns but instead told me I was wrong & must be confused. They took no responsibility at all & when I said I would be writing a review they warned me not to & be careful as they would take action against me.
