We ordered matresses and covers for our outdoor furniture, and paid a substantial deposit. We were advised they would be ready in 3 weeks but heard nothing, so called in and was told the material had not arrived, but would be there any time, and all would be completed in 3 weeks. Never heard anything after that. Went on holiday for 2 weeks and expected things to be ready when we got back, but no, and whats more nobody was in the shop and it was locked up. We had no phone number and so had to keep calling round. Like Andrew Watkins, we were given every excuse under the sun, and never once were we called with an update. Almost 3 months later we asked for our deposit back. We are so disappointed. This should all have been completed well before Christmas. I think this business will certainly have to close if there is no improvement.

I called into to ask Jann about making some new upholstered mattresses and seat cushions for my boat. He told me it would take a week to get the material and a week to make. The material took 3 weeks to arrive (I assumed it was nothing to do with Jann so I didn't complain), however once the material arrived and I had paid my substantial deposit of 50% it then took another 3.5 months and a lot of aggravation to get him to complete the job. I heard every excuse under the sun and I finally had to loose my temper with him to finally get him to complete the job. The final job was not to the specifications I had given him and although he told me to bring them back and he would fix them I decided I could not go through anymore issues with him. I have delayed making the final payment to return the discourtesy of being humbugged but it after 2 weeks he became hostile, it was no surprise that he did not appreciate the same treatment he had shown me for over 4 months. I would not recommend Rubberworks to potential customers. Oh and did I mention the lies?

We got some rubber and bits cut for a boat reno we are doing. They were really good with getting the right materials and suggesting different ways to go about putting it all together so that it looked the best. Found the staff to be friendly and seemed happy to help. Price was ok.

We ordered a pool and spa cover at significant expense because we wanted to support a local business rather than buying online. We were told the order would be ready in 10 days. After more than 2 months of calling the store regularly and being promised on numerous occasions the covers were finished and would be installed "today", we gave up and demanded our deposit back. We didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. The experience was almost unbelievable.

We called in to talk about a new mattress for our motorhome on Monday morning. Jann was so helpful as we were undecided as to what to get for our bed above cab. We settled on a dreamtime mattress. Order was done & we were told we could pick it up late Tuesday or Wednesday morning before we headed home to Petrie. Imagine our surprise when we got a call after lunch on the day we ordered & was able to pick it up late that afternoon. Now that's GOOD service. Now about the mattress, it is very comfortable & we would have no hesitation in recommending it as well as recommending the business. As for Jann well without his knowledge & guidance we would have ended up with something we would not have been happy with. Thankyou Jann & the wonderful folk at the factory who worked extra hard to get us our mattress the same day.
