When did you get started?
Established in 1989 to meet the demands of the then booming town of Cairns, marketing was initially directed to home lawns and amenity landscaping. Over the ensuing years, Tropical Lawns has grown into a small family company employing several full-time employees, with qualifications as tradesmen in green keeping, landscaping and mechanics.
What Turf Varieties do you have and how much per m2?
Prices range from $ 8.80/m2 for the most common type of turf, Buffalo (Broadleaf Carpet Grass) as well as Blue Couch, Ozeboy and ZT-11to $ 9.90/m2 for and our slow-growing Zoysia grasses Zoysia Macrantha (Nara) and Zoysia Matrella (Shadetuff). Shadetuff and Nara, both are native to Australia (and the Cairns area). We also sell Sir Walter and Green Couch.
