Called here because we found a coupon in a tourist magazine, a 'free' main when you purchase another main. Maitre'd was very helpful and friendly. Staff were quite busy, but as we had dropped in without a booking we didn't mind. Food was tasty and plentiful. We would go again.

If you enjoy Mexican, this is the place to come to in Coolie. The staff were helpful and there was a wide range of choice when it came to food.

We were looking for a good Mexican meal (lived in USA for years and grew to like Mexican food) but after trying this restaurant for dinner we could say we've had better. The quality of the food wasn't fantastic and thought the service was also lacking.

The Aztec looked extremely inviting with a nice deck area to enjoy an evening cocktail before having dinner. We came here early for dinner one night and the waitstaff who greeted us were incredibly friendly which is always the best start to any dining out experience. I love my Mexican food and the Aztec offered all of the traditional Mexican food options you would hope! We had the nachos to share as an entree and when they first arrived, they didn't look like much but were superb for an entree with some guacamole and the beans underneath, so simple and tasty. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails as well which were pretty good and came out in no time. For my main I had the vegetarian enchilada which was also very nice! I love the refried beans and the tasty Mexican rice, such a perfect combination! The little raw side salad that it came with was incredibly tasty too, lots of fresh veges and the sauce made it perfect! It was a great dining experience overall and I would recommend everyone have a try of this place!

We travel to Coolangatta every year with the family and stop in to Aztec every time. It's always a great experience here. They offer awesome food and the service is spot on.Very family friendly.Will be back next year for sure.

I decided to have the beef fajita's and came away thinking the best thing about the meal was the Dos Equis cervesas. Unfortunately the fajita's were simply productivity line processed at best. Not sure where on the beast they got the beef from, but it was quite tough and without flavour. The meal devoid of the care and attention of a chef/cook that cares for their craft.

Amazing Mexican food. Very tasty and pretty authentic. If you love Mexican just as much as I do then you will appreciate Aztec Tequila & Taco Bar. As for the drinks, the cocktails are super good. Nice place to dine inn.

Food is epic and the cocktails are amazing. I would have to say the seating is seating is a little uncomfortable thou. I suggest you request a booth.

I have been a regular here for years now! The food is spectacular (the options are endless) and the bar serves up delicious cocktails! The restaurant allows for indoor (with unreal decor!) or alfresco dining with stunning views of the ocean, it is a must visit for locals and tourists alike! I highly recommend!
