We made a booking for 5 adults to have lunch for a friend's birthday today at the Bistro/Restaurant at the Institute Bowling Club and I have to say it would be one of the worst meals we have ever had. I ordered boscailola fettucine with chicken, it came out a pinky colour, no creamy sauce just a watery one and a little chicken, a couple of slices of mushroom and the rest was fettucine. Husband ordered Yankee Burger, he started to eat it and immediately said to me that it was very dry and there was no sauce on it. We have eaten there once before and it was a completely different meal, maybe it depends on the chef. I will let my three friends comment on their meal. Then my husband and one of my friends had a capuccino which was coffee with powdered milk, not made by a proper coffee machine but charged the same. We won't be going back any time soon. We did wonder why there were only a handful of people there at the same time on a Sunday.

Fantastic Wednesday “Special” Schmitty ! Staff very friendly and helpful, especially to a couple of Grey Nomads! A must if you come to Taree.

Really great range of meals in the restaurant. Great sized meals and budget friendly. Can’t go wrong on Schnitty night with a free drink. Thanks for a great night.
