My name is Naomi Jamieson and I am a graduate of The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and am registered to practice under the Australian Counselling Association. I am very excited to open my own counselling practice here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. My hope & purpose is that through the counselling process I will be able to help people to love more deeply, live more passionately and journey more freely. I believe in humanistic theory, which means I believe that people are fundamentally good and have a desire to reach their full potential in life, but for varying reasons, sometimes require a little help to do so. I use a number of therapeutic techniques such as Gestalt Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help you to see your thoughts and feelings more clearly and to find your own solutions. I am an impartial professional and regardless of the circumstances or issues you present with, I will not judge you or anything you say in a therapy session. I will not tell you what to do as I believe that is disempowering. It is my belief that you are the author of your own life and that all of your answers are within. My role is to support & empower you, to facilitate your growth and change and to help you to discover your own answers to enable you to live your best life.
