Not one to ever post reviews about a local businesses... however on the 3 or 4 occasion that we visited this venue, the staff were very rude and unhelpful. After one of our visits I sent in a complaint to the manager via email and after 3 weeks I received no response at all. In short, this venue has terrible service, rude staff and a dark/depressing atmosphere. Avoid this place

Have been going to Sugarland. Tavern for many years, and found it an excellent place for a meal. Last Sunday was different. Main meal was served in a reasonable time, but we ordered coffee and dessert. Big mistake. Waited 45 minutes for coffee, which was cold, and dessert came out 10 minutes after. The desserts were pre made so I don't see why the two weren't served earlier and together. With 3 young children it was a long wait. No apology. Just a grumpy waitress. Mind you the desserts were very good, but not worth the wait.. no more ordering dessert for us.
