I was represented by David and his firm and found them professional, highly competent, and quick to respond. David is a knowledgeable trustworthy solicitor who guides you through the process, questions were answered with language I understood and was supported and consulted every step of the way. David is an excellent solicitor who I highly recommend to anyone looking for great legal representation.

I contacted Spencer Lawyers when I needed to update my will earlier this year. I spoke with David Spencer who very professional and provided me with assistance in ensuring that my wishes would be carried out effectively, We also discussed Enduring Power of Attorney and Guardianship at this time and he was diligent in ensuring both I and my nominated person fully understood the implications and rights of these two documents. Due to Covid-19, this was completed remotely and I can assure you that I still received the best possible service. David and his team are professional and courteous and I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring legal assistance.

Organising my will was a task I was delaying. I was thinking it would be a complicated process. Not at all. David guided me through explaining each step and the legal terms required for a will. All explained in plain English. I would definitely recommend David and his friendly staff to provide all the information required for your will. Also the fees were very reasonable. Joy Knott

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the consequences of an AVO?

If you hold a shooters licence or a security licence, your licence will be cancelled for ten years and any firearm in your possession will be confiscated. You cannot apply for either type of licence for ten years. AVOs have a significant impact on any family law proceedings and the court will not consider shared time for a parent if there is domestic violence.

The police told me just to plead guilty as I will get a section 10 or a light penalty. What should I do?

Firstly, don't listen to their advice. They just don't want to go to court. They don't want you to defend the charge. Call us for advice because you may have a defence.
