South Side Medical Centre is a general practice located on Juliet Street close to Mackays CBD. Locally owned and operated by registered nurse and practice manager, Kath O'Brien, we provide medical services for the whole family. Our centrally located premises are very popular among locals and visitors alike. Our services include general medicine, immunisation and travel vaccinations, occupational health, urine drug and alcohol testing, as well as minor surgery , skin cancer screening and management, Diabetes management, Weight Loss counselling. With available doctors, nurses and administration support staff, our general practice cares for all ages of the community. We can assist you with free childhood immunisations, Healthy Kids checks for 4 year olds, 45-49 year old health assessments and over 75-year health assessments. Children 10 years and under are billed directly to Medicare. Another area we are interested in is Chronic Disease Management. We have management plans for diabetics in particular. Our patients with diabetes are seen regularly and are provided with support from the practice nurse as well.
