We were advised by mail of a smoke alarm inspection/service booked for yesterday 31/10/16. After reading the entry notice my wife changed shifts at her place of work and organised to finish early on the inspection date so someone could be present while the inspection was conducted. On Wednesday 26/10/16 she followed the instructions on the entry notice and advised she would be home from 2:30pm on 31/10/16 via your Tenant Booking Request€ tab.
After arriving home at 2:25pm yesterday my wife sat patiently waiting for the €œtechnician. At 4:30pm she went to the fridge to retrieve the entry notice from the fridge door and check she had the correct date, she then found a card on the kitchen bench saying entry was gained at 9:36am.
Why did we bother following your instructions and changing times? Why did Smoke Alarm Solutions ignore our request?
I am not in the habit of letting absolute strangers wander through my home at their leisure and am fuming to say the least.
This is the same feeling as having any other unknown intruder in your home. How do we know what he/she did while they were here? There was a card left on the kitchen bench, there is no alarm in or near the kitchen, what other areas did they visit that have no smoke alarms and no reason for them to be in that area?
Smoke Alarm Solutions was denied entry until a resident was in attendance, via your official channels, and still proceeded with entry unsupervised.
