Thankyou Don for your kind review . Yes Digital Dentistry using my Intra Oral Scanner to scan the mouth and teeth is a revelation. No more messy impression material , no more gagging from patients , more accuracy, less appointments (in some cases only 2 appointments for denture completion) ,and the great thing is, if you lose or misplace your denture I now have your Digital files if we need remake a new denture "at the touch of a button" without having to rescan your mouth ensuring peace of mind . Hi Andrew . Yes Digital Dentures and Digital Scanning Technology is amazing . As you saw we were able to manufacture a Metal Upper Partial Denture in just one appointment. No messy impression material where patients gag and anxiety becomes an issue. With the latest Intra Oral Scanner in my Clinic it took just a few minutes to scan both upper and lower jaw with the most advanced technology. One appointment for scanning of your mouth , the next appointment the issue of the finished Digital Denture, and if you lose your denture I can remake it at the "touch of a button" ensuring peace of mind.

Hi Neil Yes Digital Dental Technology in the form of the latest in Intra Oral Scanning rather than taking conventional impressions (which many patients fear the gagging aspect ) is truly amazing and fast. The outcome of your Digital Dentures is the most accurate fit with little adjustments (if any) and a far more comfortable end result . The other great aspect Neil is if you lose your dentures they can easily be recreated with the touch of a button! Maurie didn't just fix my Teeth, He gave me my life back, I can now go out in public and smile again, eat at my favorite Restaurants and all because of the excellent job he did. I went to Maurice as I was in a lot of pain with my new denture which had been made by a dentist elsewhere a couple of weeks ago. I had been back to the original dentist 4 times in those two weeks for adjustments but they were just not listening to me. Maurice got me in the same day I called and within 15 minutes I was walking out of there finally wearing my denture pain-free and confident that I wouldn't be back in 24 hours needing more adjustments, plus, he didn't and wouldn't charge me. I will 100% be going back to Maurice for my next set and would recommend him to everyone. Thank you again Maurice, I appreciate it so much.

Very efficient and knowledgeable, I had Maurie from Newcastle work on my new teeth and couldn’t have asked for a better person to deal with. He was very quick to have them made and fitted them with ease. i live in Port Macquarie which is a good 3 hour drive, which i would every day to have the great service i received. It you lose or miplace your denture then you don't have to go through the whole procedure of invasive impressions and impression material that is uncomfortable. Your impressions are now digitised and can be reprinted as well as the metal framework remade without the ordeal of going through the process a second time. I had pretty much given up on ever having teeth again. I'm so glad I decided to try one more time. Maurie was sympathetic and thorough and patiently transformed my useless denture into a fully functioning set of teeth. Will I be fitted with a denture while I heal from implant surgery according to Smiles on Hudson?
Yes. While we might sometimes recommend patients avoid wearing dentures for the first couple of weeks following surgery to promote healing, you will be fitted with a temporary denture as your implants heal.
Why does fitting an implant-retained denture take so long according to Smiles on Hudson?
An implant-retained denture is removable, and can’t be fitted while your mouth is healing from implant surgery. As a result, the process is lengthy, and much of the treatment time (3-6 months) involves your mouth healing from surgery. Once you’re healed, impressions will be taken and your dentures fitted and adjusted.
