I would not go anywhere else for my meat, they can cut to order, and their marinated meat is delicious. Also love their smokey bacon, the best butcher in town, friendly service, and reasonable prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of meat is ideal for stewing and slow cooking?

Shin on the bone and other less costly cuts are good for slow cooked dishes like stews. Not only is it more economical, but the tougher bits (like connective tissue) break down during a longer cook, which creates incredible flavour.

How should I cook a steak?

Everyone has their preferred way that they believe is best. Some prefer grilling, some pan fry and others broil. Temperature is a huge factor in keeping your steak flavourful and juicy. We recommend letting the steak come down to room temp before cooking and making sure your grill or pan is fully preheated.
