Very happy to recommend Dr Shannon. He has a holistic approach to care which is great if you have multiple health issues. He discussed treatment options and gave me a written care plan to follow. His investigation of my issues has left me with clear skin for the first time in nearly three years, can’t thank him enough. His administrative and nursing staff are fantastic as well.

I have lived with debilitating psoriasis covering my entire body for nearly ten years. I have tried everything. I had just given up and covered it with clothes and tried to ignore it. After turning 50years old I decided to visit Dr Shannon on the insistence of my GP. After three weeks it’s nearly all gone. I am just thrilled. The mental and physical impact on me has been huge. The nurses have been so lovely and supportive and Dr Shannon is very caring and understanding. I would highly recommend visiting this doctor and clinic.

We have been seeing Dr Shannon for over 12 months now. Myself for skin cancer and my 15 year old for acne. We have found Dr Shannon to be polite, friendly and knowledgeable in all aspects of his field. Will continue to see him.

Just had the worst doctors experience of my life! Drove 3 hours to Woollongong (from Canberra) for a specialist skin cancer treatment only to be told on arrival they couldnt do my treatment today, but they could offer me something else. When I told them I'd already had that other treatment before and it didnt work on me, he said "I don't believe that for a second".....EXCUSE ME! So arrogant! Its MY body! I think I know what treatments I've had and what works for me better than a stranger does! When i asked why nobody called to tell me the treatment wouldn't be going ahead, as they knew I was coming from Canberra, he just shrugged his shoulders then told me I should just "get it done in canberra!" When I said no one in Canberra does it, thats why I've just driven 3 hours to come here he says "I don't believe that either".... WOW! I was dumbfounded by what I was hearing! It's well known/documented (search google) that there is a huge shortage of Dermatologists in Canberra, I called every single one of them, only one offered METVIX PDT and she had a minimum 4 month waiting list, just for a consult! I certainly wasnt driving all the way to Woollongong for fun! This was my 3rd and final visit to the clinic, to date I have spent over $1000 on this treatment (which is now left incomplete - what a waste!) and this is the way I was treated by them. When I later phoned back the receptionist for some sort of closure/apology I was offered none. When I pointed out I had spent over $1000 so far her words were "....but you hadn't paid for today had you?" WHAT?! When I asked for an apology, SILENCE. Not one single sorry was uttered. I'm completely baffled and in shock at how I was treated, I have no idea why, i'm just mystified! There are other dermatologists in Woollongong that I'm sure would treat their clients with more respect than here, all Dr Shannon wants is your money! You've been warned!
