You could have easily just replied to my quote email, just like I replied to your LocalSearch enquiry, but here we are, exchanging pleasantries on a public forum. OK then. I found two missed calls from you on the day you also messaged asking for a quote. There may have been more, if you called in a very short sequence, or outside our business hours. I always call back when I see missed calls (unless the call comes from anonymous number). Missed calls do happen, sometimes I am carrying a large sheet of glass, mounting an artwork, serving a customer or helping them to take their framing to their car, but I didn't have to call you back, because you also messaged details for your quote via LocalSearch, where you included your gmail address and I emailed you back the following: Hi Stephen, I hope you're well, to stretch a canvas of that size would come to $165 and a float frame of that size would come to $325. So altogether, it would come to $490. We generally take a couple of weeks for a job. I hope this helps, thank you very much and have a great day. I didn't follow up, because although we haven't raised our prices all that much throughout the 10 years, some people can find them expensive, so I don't harass people to get stuff framed. You not only did not respond to the quote email, you also felt the need and went online to try to badmouth my business, that you never once set your foot in. Well, your review speaks more about yourself, my dear friend, than about me. You said our "service is hopeless", our service, dear Stephen, is picture framing and printing, not a call centre. I won't employ a person just to answer the calls, just in case one person in 10 years gets offended. We're a small business and we do everything ourselves - I don't trust others with my work, because I want it done properly. Thousands upon thousands of frames done, thousands of customers of all walks of life and this is the first time I have to deal with a situation like this. There's first time for everything. (Oh yeah, one other lady was upset that her frame wasn't finished, after our shop and many other businesses and homes, were destroyed in the hailstorm in October 2021) I answer the phone whenever possible, I don't answer anonymous calls and about 40 cold callers that I have accumulated on my phone over the years. We do the best picture framing in the area, we use proper techniques and materials, our customer base radius is over 150km, and our products sell literally world wide. Maybe that's why you're so upset that you had to go somewhere else. Some framers might answer your call right away, but then you'll wait for ages to get your picture framed, or you pay way more money, especially for what you're getting. Just a question, did you give us a one star review despite the fact that you've received the quote from me, that you so desperately wanted, or is it the case of "Oh, I didn't see your email..". Because Stephen, quite frankly, I am not sure, which one is worse.
