From humble beginnings in a small office in Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore, with just one Physiotherapist, the Maroochydore Sports and Spinal Physio Practice has grown from its original office to now include 8 locations on the Sunshine Coast, 7 in Brisbane, 2 on the Gold Coast and 1 in Hervey Bay with practices at: Maroochydore Buderim Kawana Nambour Coolum Beach Caloundra Sippy Downs Redcliffe North Lakes Woolloongabba Chermside Springfield Robina Broadbeach Beenleigh Hervey Bay St Lucia Baringa Simon Burley began the original Maroochydore practice in 1992 and is now joined by Practice Partners Sean Campbell and Andrew Duff with Associate Partners Danielle Keogh in Buderim, Louise Meek in Coolum, Sam Moyle in Chermside, Sophie Stewart in Nambour, Laura Perry Maroochydore, Dion Wallace in Kawana and Baringa, Lucy Taylor in Woolloongabba, Tim Dunstone in Beenleigh, Bethany Butler in Sippy Downs, Zac Howard in North Lakes and Redcliffe, Cielo Kelley in Springfield, Bruno Rebello in Robina, Nick Hurrell in Broadbeach and Mark Cassidy & Jacob Walmsley in Hervey Bay and Paul Fien in St Lucia. Today Sports and Spinal employs over 300 staff, including professional Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychology, Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and RemedialMassage Therapists, as well as an outstanding Admin and Head Office team. Simon feels the key to its success has been the high professionalism of the staff combined with the friendly family atmosphere. �Many of our physios and staff have been with us over 20 years and our families have grown up together,� says Simon. Heidi Wills has been in the office from the beginning (straight from high school at Immanuel College), and physiotherapist Briony McSwan has been with us for 23 years. Many staff for 10+ years. �Our senior staff have all developed expertise in their area of interest to create their own specialised programs unique to our patients.�
