Dr Ritu Rana is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(RANZCOG) and a Member of Royal

Dr Ritu Rana is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(RANZCOG) and a Member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG, London, UK). She has fifteen years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her special interests are Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Infertility and High Risk Obstetrics along with Management of Labour.

Dr Rana completed her seven years Obstetrics and Gynaecology training from Yorkshire (UK). As part of this training she worked in tertiary hospitals in the NHS UK in Leeds & Bradford . She gained enormous experience in handling very high-risk Obstetrics both antenatal and in labour. She did advanced training in minimal access surgery in Gynaecology (includes laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery). She worked and trained in the referral center for diagnosis and management Endomteriosis and also received immense experience in diagnosis and management of Gynae malignancy.

Dr Rana did a fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the Leeds Centre Of Reproductive Medicine, UK in 2011-12. This center performed more than 2000 IVF cycles during that period which was then the highest in the UK. She obtained excellent training in management of couples with infertility including Assisted Reproductive Techniques that includes IUI, IVF and ICSI.

She was awarded certificate for Early Pregnancy and Advanced Gynaecology Ultrasound Scan by the British Fertility Society.

Dr Rana has a very kind and empathetic manner towards her patients. She has had excellent feedback from her patients and their GPs.

She provides private consulting from Stanley House, 5 Discovery Lane, North Mackay.

Dr Rana routinely performs Gynaecological surgery which includes Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (key hole hysterectomy)/ Open Hysterectomy/ Vaginal Hysterectomy, Endometriosis Surgery, Ovarian cystectomy, Vaginal surgeries, Infertility related surgery, Surgery for heavy periods, diagnosis of Gynae malignancy at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Mackay and Mackay Base Hospital.
