About Ready to Yarn

Ready to Yarn: Accredited Mental Health Social Worker & Counsellor in Gold Coast and Mount Isa. Offers hope and support for those finding it tough getting through difficult situations – it may be mental health, past trauma or ongoing dramas. In all of these situations people may need engagement with a service such as this, not just to find the way through, but to experience healing. Jonathan McClelland opened the Ready to Yarn service in recognition that existing services don’t always have the answers. There are cracks people can fall through, and what is often needed is consistent, supportive counselling with a therapist able to show recognition, and able to work in partnership with them on their unique journey.

Yes, Jonathan is able to work with DVA services for mental health treatment.

Yes, certainly. As well as his other experience, Jonathan worked for a number of years with the ‘Evolve’ program in Townsville and headspace in a number of locations, working with children as young as 5, with teenagers, including youth affected by complex trauma, or in the care of Child Safety.
