Poemphun Thai is proud to introduce cuisine from the traditional area of Chumphon in Southern Thailand. Chumphon has been able to maintain it's natural beauty, largely untouched by tourism and unspoiled by time. Chumphon is located on the Isthmus of Kra, the narrow landbridge connecting the Malay Peninsula with Mainland Thailand. Chumphon means "Meeting Place" and the area has long been used as a place for people from different areas and cultures to gather together. Hence the area has become a diverse area for cooking and traditional recipes. The owner Phoemphun and her family orginate from this beautiful province and their cooking and recipes have been passed along through their family.
