Pimpama is a suburban town located in the local government area of the Gold Coast City in the state of Queensland. It is considered to be the only rural community on the Pacific Motorway region. However, the town's population has been on an upswing with the occurrence of development within Pimpama. The town holds some historical value of its own through a number of heritage-listed sites such as the Pimpama & Ormeau War Memorial and the Laurel Hill Farmhouse, which is now at a different location but it was originally situated in Pimpama. These sites help drive growth for the local tourism industry. Other tourist attractions and recreational facilities in the suburb also include the Strawberry Farm, the Le Mans complex and the Gainsborough Greens golf course.
