I saw a need in the community for pet doors for their animals. I found family and friends were leaving doors open to let their pets in and out of the house while they were out. Many of my customers are renting and unable to change their screen doors so I have the inserts available for people who wish to add a temporary solution to the property they are renting. Stand your pet up straight. Locate the tallest point on your pet's back, this is below the neck, between the shoulder blades. Measure the dog’s height from the floor to this point. We suggest the best way to see which size Paws Pet Door is suitable for your pet is to cut the dimensions of the flap opening out of a piece of cardboard and see which size your pet is most comfortable going through.
What is the best way to measure my door?
Once you have decided whether you want your insert to go onto the glass door or the security screen door. Measure from the lowest point at the top, to the top of the highest point at the bottom.
