Can I only be assessed by a driver trained OT?
Yes, only Occupational Therapists with post-graduate qualifications in Driver Assessment, and their RMS Driver Trained Occupational Therapist (DTOT) number, are legally allowed to assess people in the task of driving.
How long does the face to face assessment take?
The off and on- road assessment together take between 2.5-3 hrs. The off road assessment is carried out in your home and the on road driving will be in your local area.
