We paid approximately $40,000 for a bathroom renovation. Based on our experience, the overall standard of workmanship did not meet our expectations for a project of this value. The painting shows uneven coverage and an inconsistent finish. The plaster work appears rough in areas, and several walls are noticeably out of plumb. The tiling quality was also below an acceptable standard. Although some tiles were replaced after concerns were raised, the overall finish remains unsatisfactory. The door jambs were installed more than 1cm out of alignment, which is clearly visible. This issue was raised but was not rectified. Architraves are marked and poorly finished, indicating a lack of attention to detail. We were advised to purchase a vanity costing over $1,000, which we did based on the builder’s recommendation. Due to the walls not being square, the vanity does not fit or present well once installed. It was fitted regardless, and as a result it cannot be returned.
