I was referred by a local optometrist and phoned the next day. In 30 seconds I was told the referred specialist wasn't available for months and that they had another specialist available. I mentioned that that wasn't really what I wanted as the referred specialist was in fact referred for a very specific reason. At that point I was rudely told that she won't push in an appointment and that it was a take-it-or-leave-it scenario. I thanked her and hung up. A word of advice to you all out there: Go somewhere else. The specialists may be good, but I will never know due to their phone staff... What a completely awful experience.
