I purchased a Honda generator $6,500 as a back up for our off grid system. The generator had minimal use, under 100 hours, however it broke down 1 month out of warranty. I took the generator to Newcastle Mowers and Outdoor Equipment. I was told that it would not be covered under warranty and the control panel had failed. They ordered the parts having the machine to reference from. The part was ordered in July 2022, after almost 12 months of chasing the part I was told that the part had arrived however it was damaged. It was apparently reordered, as of today 30/09/2023 I was told the part was ready for collection. I attended and it was the obvious wrong part. The part is now going to be ordered again. I purchased Honda, due to its supposed good name and reliability. I am very disappointed with Honda and the after sales service. After 15 months I still don’t have a working generator.
