Highly recommend this place, Mist in the gumtrees is the place for weddings, I thought this place was paradise, they've got cabins too. The host/owner is lovely, we had a chat how nice this place is, nice lawns and gardens, my nephew and his beautiful bride got married there on the 27th November

Wow what an amazing venue, my son and his beautiful bride got married here on Saturday. The grounds, ceremony area and accomodation is beautiful, carol worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect before and during the wedding, Carol you are amazing and Mist in the Gum Trees is such a credit to you, we can’t thank you enough. What a beautiful setting to make memories in !

Set at the base of the Wattagan mountains lies Mist in the Gumtrees, a beautiful intimate eco resort. Rustic cabins have tasteful modern interiors, together with a pool and reception centre. A beautiful sandstone arrangement is a perfect outdoor wedding venue. My daughter was married here in March, and the only disappointment was the rain. However, a massive pergola outside the reception room was a fabulous alternative location for the wedding. The owner, Carol, worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect for the wedding, and we cannot thank her enough. The grounds are immaclate and feature wrought iron church gates leading to the ceremonial area. The bush setting is complemented with unique walls providing seclusion for each cabin. Handmade australiana featues add to the ambience. Carol ensures everything s perfect for her guests. The location is easy to access from the M1, and provides a perfect base from which to explore beautiful Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley.

WOW what a fantastic new venue for a relaxed wedding. The grounds were prepared to perfection allowing plenty of photo opportunities. Having such stylish cabins on site made for a wonderful weekend. The huge undercover area opening onto the reception building and pool is fantastic. Unfortunately for us the rain came down but this area allowed plenty of room for the ceremony to be held in style and everyone to stay dry. I can highly recommend this fantastic venue to anyone wanting a relaxed wedding or a wonderful weekend escape.
