It was my great pleasure to have Steven Toohill from Mimosa Rocks Landscapes working in Lamington National Park in preparation for the centenary of Lamington Park in July 2015. Steve built two very high-quality stone monuments for the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and delivered over and above my expectations. His stone masonry skills are of the highest standard that I've seen which matches his professional attitude and business. Steve immersed himself in the park for several weeks, walking over 5 km return some days with a wheel barrow and tools out to the old Forestry camp, just as the men would have done when they built the walking tracks in the 1930s and 40s. In a relatively brief period Steve developed a real connection with the park rangers and Lamington itself, which is reflected in his quality work which will last the next hundred years.

We hired Steven Toohill Mimosa Rocks Landscapes to build us two feature stone masonry walls as part of a front fence project we were undertaking on our residential property. Steven not only built us two beautiful stonewalls and a basalt stone flagging walkway, but he ended becoming our foreman for the entire fence project. Steven managed the project from beginning to end, organising the formwork, excavator, machinery, installation of motorized gate & intercoms, etc, etc! He also built us a retaining wall, two dry stone feature walls, a dry-stone mailbox and a stunning natural stone pathway. We couldn't be happier with the final product. Steven's workmanship is beautiful and the stonework looks fantastic! His attention to detail is apparent and he is obviously a perfectionist with his work. I would highly recommend Steven's services to anyone looking for a stonemason or construction landscaper. He was conscientious and reliable and treated the project as if it were for his own home.
