Took my wedding dress in to be altered - predominantly shortening of the hem. I asked for appliques that were on the lower part of the dress to be moved up so that they would not be cut/lost in the alterations process. I was told this was fine. They were late on initial completion date and when I went to collect the dress they had cut straight through the appliques thus causing irreversible damage to the dress. I then had to jump through hurdles to get the issue dealt with. The quality of the rest of the work that was done was also subpar and no better than I could have achieved myself as an amateur seamstress. Definitely would not recommend for any alterations requiring a high level of skill and certainly not for expensive garments.
