About Maroochy Gas & Solar

Maroochy Gas & Solar was first established in 1998, but current owners, John and Carolyn Hohn, took over the business in 2016. John has worked in the industry for over 40 years and leads a respected team with a diverse range of skills. Before John and Carolyn were handed the reins, the business provided emergency plumbing services and wood stove installations. However, after careful thought, John decided to focus his team’s efforts on gas safety certifications, gas fitting, repairs on all gas related items in your caravan, hot water systems and non-emergency plumbing. As a result of this change in direction, Maroochy Gas & Solar is now the number one provider of caravan gas certifications on the Sunshine Coast and has gained a reputation as a trustworthy and honest business. Our repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals are a testament to our level of quality and exceptional customer service.

Brought a Borsch gas stove top from Joyce Mayne. I was going to stick to my regular gas fitter but glad I didn't. Harry installed the stove top and now we have met the most professional gas fitter on the coast. Harry is honest, reliable and nothing is a problem. Just the best!

Fantastic work, friendly, fair pricing, easy to talk to. I would highly recommend John and Young Harry. It was raining hard and they still completed the job. Professional. Excellent work. Will always use in the future. And has done work previously for me and was very happy then and still very happy with there service. 5 star rating .

6 months after completing the gas fit out of my 1974 caravan, I rang John about an issue with the gas fridge I'd installed in the van. He bent over backwards to assist me, guiding me through what the potential issues could be (over the phone). His knowledge and description of the components were spot on, problem was fixed within a short amount of time and he was genuinely happy to help. Couldn't ask for more and if you're looking for a gas or solar company, look no further than these guys. 5*

Great service! Today l had the guys from maroochy gas service hook up my gas stove and water heater in my caravan and they were super friendly, did a great job and didnt charge like a wounded bull! I would happily recommend them to anyone!
