About Malpass Hotel

The Malpass Hotel, in the centre of Home Hill, provides four-star backpacker accommodation in four-share rooms at affordable rates. As the Burdekin is one of the most productive farming areas in Australia, there is an abundance of seasonal work available from fruit and vegetable picking, packing in sheds, general farm work, and bar work. Transport to and from jobs is available for guests at the Malpass Hotel. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a fridge provided. Linen is also provided, and cooking facilities are available, along with an ATM and EFTPOS.

Their bartender Tamika was very helpful and patient. We passed through last week and decided to stop in at Malpass Hotel for a bite to eat. They have very friendly staff and great value meals.

All of their meals were well presented and stunning. Malpass Hotel is a great spot. We had 17 for a birthday lunch, and the food was magnificent.

I highly recommend Malpass Hotel. We had 18 people for a birthday lunch. Everyone's outstanding meals came quickly with very friendly service.

Malpass Hotel is highly worth the visit. Their prices are reasonable, and their food is great. Nothing was too much trouble; their staff are extremely friendly. Sonya, the new chef, cooks a mean chicken parmy.
