Main Engineering has been locally owned and operated in the Whitsundays for over 14 years. Current owner Michael Cutuli worked in the business for 2 years before deciding to take over the business in 2005. Michael's skill and attention to detail saw the business rapidly expanding and there became a need for a larger workshop. In 2009 we opened the doors for the first time at our new location in Horsford Place. Originally, we had just the first half of the shed but the addition of the CNC lathe and other machining equipment has meant that we now operate out of the entire 1000m2 shed. We work with any materials, but the most common are: carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze , plastic and aluminium. Our capabilities include 4 Axis CNC Vertical Machining Centre, CNC Lathe 400mm swing x 1500mm, 6 x Centre lathes up to 1000mm swing x 3200mm, radial arm drill 2.5m arm, union 80 horizontal borer, 2 x Turret mills 1000mm on x axis, surface grinder, 3 x Universal mills up to 1500mm on x axis, 100t Power Press, Hydraulic cylinder repairs. With the largest ram bench in town we can handle any size ram, from re-sealing to manufacturing complete new cylinders. With our same day turn around service we will minimise your downtime.
