Driving The Bucketts Way towards Armidale NSW, my wife and I felt peckish, so kept our eyes open for the next town and bakehouse. As we proceeded through Booral, on our left was the sign Ma Baker's Bakery. We went in and decided it would also be a good time for a comfort stop. Management were very helpful, a wonderfully clean bathroom—a bathroom complete with shower—was made available to passing customers. We selected our lunch from a comprehensive pastry display, two Beef, Bacon and Cheese Pies, extra large sized. For a sweet treat, my wife had the Vanilla Slice, very much on the French style, and I chose the tantalizing Passionfruit Tart, a couple of cold soft drinks and we were once more on the road, did not look for any food again, until the evening in Armidale.
