Having won a bundle of dining awards, Lotus consistently impresses with friendly service and fragrant, authentic exotic meals. The reasonably priced menu makes it a great takeaway option and Lotus offers home delivery within the local Port Macquarie area as well. Popular dishes include Mongolian lamb, seafood birds nest, honey chicken and the ever-favourite chicken & cashews. The chef's tantalising specialties are the shredded beef in Peking sauce and Malaysia spare ribs. Our Port Macquarie restaurant has a huge upstairs dining space, which has views to Lighthouse Beach. Service is prompt and the well-presented dishes speak for themselves. Large groups and intimate couples are catered for, with Lotus welcoming large parties and private events in the function room. Open for lunch from 11.30am to 2pm (closed Monday) and dinner from 5pm, the owner/operator oversees all the food preparation and staff service, while taking the time to personally welcome diners. The fantastic dining choices are complemented by a fully licensed bar, serving wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is clean, warm and welcoming with a mouth-watering menu that leaves you spoilt for choice. Lotus can get quite busy during summer, so if you don't want to miss out on enjoyable meals served in a great location it's best to make a booking.

Been coming here over 20years. Standards have dropped. Chow Mein was floating in water - no Oyster Sauce. Tasteless. Booked for 6pm. Man’s delivered well after 8pm. Restaurant only 1/2 full. Service very slow. Doug & Cathy

We went last night and we were a large group. They made us wait for approx 2hrs due to us being a large group. When the food eventually came out at least 50% of our $48 banquet was horrible and inedible. Dry and overcooked food. The manager was extremely rude when approached. Will never go back. Disgusted with quality of food and the service we received.

We go to Lotus at Lighthouse every couple of weeks. It is by far the best asian food in Port Macquarie. The fillet steak in pepper sauce melts in your mouth and is a definite must have. We also love the flavour of the beef rendang which has quite a kick. The lemon chicken is also delicious. We go here for lunch on weekends when its less busy and food comes out quickly. It can get busy at nights especially on weekends and holidays.

We’ve eaten in this restaurant and had takeaway multiple times before. The honey chicken tasted like what I would think gluggy water tastes like, the sweet and sour pork was tasteless burnt chunks of I don’t know what you’d call it, the mongolian lamb tasted like boiled lamb in water with a hint of capsicum, the spring rolls felt and tasted like they’d been sitting under a heat light for hours, salt and pepper prawns were burnt to a crisp. The only good dish was the soup. I called to let them know how horrible the food tasted to be told ‘that’s how we always cook it, it must just be your taste’ I let them know 6 people were eating this food and we all had agreed that it was a big waste of over $100. They said once again ‘it must just be your taste’ 110% will not be going back here ever again.

Arrived at 6.15 ,order was taken fairly quickly. Drinks arrived fast, entree arrived shortly after 7. We had to ask 3 times if the mains were coming, 3 of the four came out. Asked twice more for the fourth meal. When it arrived it tasted burnt. :-( Having been to this restaurant many times over a 20 year period, this was without the worse night ever. May not go back again, sorry.

The most amazing meal ever service was fantastic can see why they have won so many awards over twenty years. We had a table of eighteen, everything went like clock work. Thanks for looking after us so well. We live in Qld but this is the best food ever.

Very disappointed in the takeaway we had on the 2nd June 2018. After sending in 2 emails this is the 3rd and no reply. I will not be going back. I had raved about what beautiful meals the Lotus has then to get what we did and paid $102.30 for it, no thank you. No more for this lady or my visitors.

We have just spent $102.30 on meals from your restaurant and I am so disappointed in the meals. The shredded beef in peking sauce was just a glug of beef stripsâ€”no flavour. Special fried rice, I think you stood back and threw the prawns and pork. No chicken. Prawn chow mein, i am still trying to find the prawns. We know what Chinese food should taste like as my daughter worked for years in a restaurant. Please feel free to contact me as I am a local and word of mouth travels fast.

Strongly recommend this place for a delicious Malaysian meal in Port Macquarie. Have been there several times and the food is delicious. I highly recommend you to this place for a Malaysian meal fix in the Port Macquarie area.

This place was great for Dinner. I had Satay Chichen and Rice. Plus I greeted the host with some Bahasa. Great Service provided by the lady waitresses. I would recommend this place for Lunch or Dinner.

Excellent service and food. Very generous portions. We took our 4 and 2 year olds there. The seafood laksa was fantastic. We had lunch and had so much left over that it did us for dinner. It was very nice to go somewhere with excellent food that wasn't trying to rip you off.
