Help keep your child safe around water with swimming lessons at Leonie’s Swim For Life. We are a Shellharbour
Help keep your child safe around water with swimming lessons at Leonie’s Swim For Life. We are a Shellharbour swim school, teaching people of all ages the important skill of swimming.
Being able to swim is a necessity for water safety. In Australia, on average, one child drowns every week, most of them under the age of 5. Devastating statistics reveal almost 10 times as many are hospitalised after nearly drowning, with many suffering permanent brain damage.
At Leonie’s Swim For Life our swimming lessons cater to all ages, including baby classes (from 3 months) through to teen and adult classes. Not only do our classes provide your child with the skill-set for life, they also help keep them safe around water in the future.
Swimming is also an unbeatable form of aerobic exercise and one that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Research indicates that swimmers have a 50 per cent lower death rate than runners, walkers, or people who get no exercise.
Our delightfully warm indoor pool allows those with arthritis the chance to exercise in a non-weightbearing and warm environment. Asthma sufferers can also benefit from swimming as research shows regular swimming may alleviate symptom severity.
At Leonie’s Swim For Life our instructors are all Swim Australia™ and AUSTSWIM™ qualified. You will find our instructors are friendly, approachable and take the time to ensure everyone in the class is learning to be safe for life.
Leonie and her team of instructors are extremely passionate about teaching babies, children and adults these skills for life.
