Dr David Kitchen is the local Rockhampton and Gladstone ophthalmologist providing services to residents throughout Central Queensland. Dr Kitchen operated from CQ Eye as a consulting eye specialist. His medical interests lie in cataract and intraocular refractive suegery, oculoplastic, medical retina, glaucoma and surgery. As a recognised figure within the field of ophthalmology, Dr Kitchen has been long involved in the teaching of ophthalmology to final year medical students, acting as Senior Lecturer in Ophthalmology with the University of Queensland. Dr David Kitchen is Central Queensland's only local full-time resident ophthalmologist. Dr David Kitchen also possesses a double fellowship specialist with both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.
