Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a solicitor?
The answer is NO. Key2 Conveyancing can look after your sale or purchase from start to finish. If you are selling property we will work for you from the moment you decide to sell and list your property for sale right through to settlement. If you are buying, we will work with you from the moment you find the property that is right for you, until you settle your purchase.
What is cooling-off period?
The cooling-off period starts from the date of exchange of contracts and ends at 5.00pm on the fifth business day after the date of exchange of contracts. The purchaser may “cancel” the contract any time during the cooling-off period by giving notice in writing to the seller/seller's conveyancer. The purchaser must then forfeit (“pay to”) the seller an amount equal to 0.25% of the purchase price.
