    About Central Coast, NSW
Central Coast New South Wales can be stumbled upon midway between the North Coast, Sydney and South Coast regions of the state. Tucked away in the region are some of the NSW coast’s most popular tourism destinations, including Gosford, The Entrance, Terrigal, Avoca Beach and Umina. You’re looking at an hour drive from Sydney around 4 hours and 40 minutes from Coffs Harbour to reach the delights waiting for you to explore. It seems fitting to start with The Entrance. One of the drawcards to the area is the daily Pelican Feeding down by the waterfront. Local fish shops started the ritual more than 30 years ago by casting their scraps to the hungry birds. Then, in 1996, the local council built the feeding platform now known as Pelican Plaza. 365 days a year, you can visit Pelican Plaza and watch as sponsors and volunteers come together to keep the birds well nourished. West of Gosford, only 60 minutes from Sydney, is the Australian Reptile Park. Only, it’s not only reptiles calling the park home. This conservation park is self-titled hands-on zoo with wombats, dingos, kangaroos, bilbies, birds, lizards, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, spiders and an endless array of Aussie and international animals. Enough about things to do on the Central Coast; although we could go on and on. The top hotels, motels and resorts in the region are dotted along the coast, meaning wherever you go, you’ll have a comfortable bed to stay. There are always the holiday parks, packed with family friendly activities for those making the trip in a caravan or want to stay in a bungalow. Is it time you checked out the Central Coast?
