How do I turn off the water supply to my house?

If you’re on tank water, you’ll need to shut off the stopcock or gate valve at the tank. Mains water, on the other hand, is fed to your home in underground pipes. These pipes run parallel to the road. Smaller pipes then feed the water through mains shut-off valves to each of our homes. This valve will be located near the front of your property.

Although I only had two relatively small jobs to be done, they presented difficulty to access because of their location in the guttering of a two Storey home and required specialised knowledge and functional safety equipment. Pat had the necessary equipment to enable him to safely traverse the roof and access the precarious locations of both job sites. He quickly assessed what needed to be done and went about the task in a professional and thorough manner, adapting as he went to suit the changing nature of the task as it evolved while explaining how he proposed to complete the task. The jobs were completed in a timely manner and the site was left in a clean and organised state. I would have no hesitation about using Pat again in the future for the right task.
