Jarosite West Wiltshire Horn Stud was established at Bellbrae, Victoria in 1992 with the purchase of some pregnant ewes and a ram from the Bara-Simbil stud run by the Harwood family. The Harwoods were instrumental in establishing the breed in Victoria in the 1970s. Jarosite West has a stud flock of Wiltshire Horns and a commercial flock of first cross Wiltshire Horn – Dorper sheep. Wiltshires have excellent hybrid vigour when crossed with other breeds.
