About International Dance Affair

International Dance Affair (I.D.A.) is celebrating 30 years in 2019! All teaching staff are fully qualified and are constantly updating their knowledge to provide your children with the latest in dancing trends. The timetable is structured so that each class is taught by a teacher who specialises and is qualified in that particular dance form. This will ensure that your child is getting the best tuition possible in their chosen dance form. Our studio is conveniently located at Shop 10/45 Evans Avenue, North Mackay in the Bushman's Bread Complex (diagonally opposite Dominos Pizza). Access to the building is at the rear in Hodder Street. Our studio is purpose built with sprung floors, mirrors, double barres, fans and is also fully air conditioned for the comfort of every student. International Dance Affair offers an extensive range of dance classes, offering professional tuition in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Highland Dancing (Scottish), Irish Dancing, Contemporary, Baton Twirling as well as Stretch & Conditioning classes. Each class is taught by a highly qualified teacher who specialises in the dance genre taught. This will ensure that your child receives the best possible tuition in his/her chosen dance form. Whether you learn dance for enjoyment, fitness or as a serious pursuit we will help each student achieve their personal best in a comfortable friendly environment. We absolutely love international Dance affair!! Sandra and Crystal are so caring and they tried their best to fit the dance schedules to the family’s one. Everyone is so nice and good with the kids. My daughter really enjoy so much and I can’t wait to see her in her next chapter next year ☺️👍.

We have been attending International dance affair now for the last 3 years and have loved this dance school, not only are they all such a beautiful team of teachers but the children thrive and develop such excellent skills and performances each year! highly recommend this dance school!

IDA is my daughter’s second home, she loves the environment that Sandra has created. She just wants to go back! We have been with IDA for 6 years now and my daughter growth with her dancing style and passion for dance is incredible! I would recommend IDA to any dancer who wants to grow in to an international star or just wants to do it for fun! 🌟

What age can my child start dancing?

We take enrolments for little ones from just two years of age into our Tinytots and Twinkle Tots classes.

What type of dancing do you teach?

Dance classes we specialise in are: Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Highland Dancing and Irish Dancing. We also do Baton Twirling and Acrobatic Arts (Acro) classes! Stretch and Conditioning classes are also offered on a Saturday morning.
