Today I attempted to rent a care for 4 days. Confirmed two drivers and completed all the paperwork prior to arriving to pick up the car. I was told that due to my cc expiring in two months we would need another CC. Attempted to offer the other persons CC but then we only wanted the car for three days and was told that due to there being an issue with the first card they would not rent to us at all. We were not upset nor did we treat them rudely for provide them with any other reason to not allow us to hire the car. Very disappointing. We are left without a car for a day and another rental company has allowed for my CC to be used with them. This could have been avoided when I asked on booking if my card would be accepted as I did check that at the time.

Have just returned from UK and as usual hired a car from Independent Rentals. Have used Tony Stranger's rentals yearly for over 10 years and have always received kind, friendly, value-for-money service. The vehicles are always up-to-date and totally reliable. We've had many different types of cars over the years and would never use anyone else.

Easy to book, polite, efficient and fast service. Reasonable prices. Clean modern cars. I've used them many times and won't hesitate to use them again.

I have to fly into Townsville at least 2 times a year for business and Independent Rentals are the first ones i book with. Cars are always clean and tidy and happy to be giving them a high recommendation .
