Brad started his career in 1983 as an apprentice then worked various mechanical outlets. He then turned his hand to mechanics working as a road service tech for NRMA. He loved it so much he became a mobile mechanic in 1993, before opening up his own workshop in 2007, servicing clients in 2 Casuarina Street Oak Flats. I applied for a pink slip and the fella failed, which I knew it would as I had a service at Nabiac at Christmas and the guyUp there said you need shackles and brake drums replaced before you pass rego. This guy at Oak Flats said you need shackles and new number plates. I said what about the brakes ? He said their fine. I went to another mechanic and asked them to check the brakes and they said there was only 1/2 mm left on them and they were getting dangerous. I’m so glad I went to another mechanic as it’s a two and half ton van, I could have been in a lot of trouble if I hadn’t gone to another mechanic. This guy never even checked the brakes but said the rego plates need to be renewed...what ? The rego plates were very readable, I even took one to the Service NSW and they said they were fine and could be read. So glad I went for a second opinion..!
