Don't be fooled by the look of an ageing chain restaurant. It was really surprising just how good the food was! The steak was so good! Crumbed mushroom salad was great - seriously we were amazed at how good the prime rib steak was. Wow. We'll be going back. RW

Had a good value meal for two on a busy Friday market night. Steaks great and were accompanied by real vegetables. Persuaded to purchase a whole bottle of red, rather than just two glasses, but it was a great drop and went down well!

Difficult to choose in Nelson Bay. So much choice. Decided on Hogs Breath as we didn't know the chain. Very friendly and funny staff. Nice atmosphere. Food was good! Nice no nonsense burger!

I have been going to Hog Breaths restaurant for more than 15 years. I have always known the quality to be really good and you get your steak the way you want it. After tonight that has all changed. Our table had 4 prime ribs that were all ordered as medium rare. All came out dry overcooked, floury and tasteless. They all were like they had been sitting in a bay marie for hours before serving. Tables on either side of us also commented as per the same. Dont know if it is only this store but I will not be rushing back to Hogs Breath again. Dreadful.
