Whether you have suffered an injury on the sports field, are recovering from a recent surgery, have general aches and pains or suffer from chronic pain, we have the tools to help you get back to your best. We assess and management all musculoskeletal conditions within the body from your head to your toes, including all levels of the spine.

Sports Physio
We want you to keep your place on the team, performing at your best and helping your team achieve it’s season goals. Whether it’s an elite sporting squad, a casual Tuesday night indoor netball comp or a social bowls four, we’ll help you get back to your best.
Some of the Queensland’s finest Sports Physios can be found at Heyday Health. Our physiotherapists have supported the Australian Defence Force, the FORD performance racing team, the British Paralympic swim team, NZ Maori Rugby, and much more. With the opening of our Miami Physiotherapy Clinic within a functional gym facility, we now have a top class facility to offer Sports Physiotherapy services to our athletic community, no matter your age or competing level.
Heyday Health is the currently the preferred physiotherapy provider for the Bond Pirates Rugby Union Club. This is a relationship based on clinical excellence and professionalism.
Heyday Health physiotherapists are skilled in the evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic sporting injuries.
We enjoy close working relationships with other sports medicine specialists and, where needed, refer directly to orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians, GP’s, radiologists, podiatrists, massage therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths or trainers.

Common Sports Injuries include, but are not limited to:
Acute neck injuries (stingers)
Tendinitis and tendinosis (Achilles and Patella)
Muscle tears (hamstrings, calfs, quads)
Shoulder injuries: Rotator cuff and AC ligament tears
Knee ligament injuries: Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear, Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) tear
Knee cartilage injuries: Meniscus
Ankle ligament tears

Spinal Physio
Are you having difficulty moving or sleeping? Are you suffering pain on sitting or bending? Our goal is to get you and keep you moving – whether that’s at work, at play or at home.
Physiotherapy can relieve pain and stiffness and treat a wide variety of conditions of the spine, including:
Pinched nerve
Neck pain or discomfort
Mid Back pain or discomfort
Lower back pain or discomfort
Disc bulge or prolapse (aka “slipped disc”)
Referred pain – such as leg pain or arm pain associated with tingling, numbness or pins & needles
If you’re suffering from pain, discomfort or stiffness, make an appointment to see one of our physiotherapists so we can help you get back doing the things you love.
Our treatment will be tailored specifically to your condition, and may include massage, muscle strengthening, mobilisation and/or manipulation, strapping, acupuncture, prescribed exercises, and functional movement correction.

Pre & Post Operative Rehab (Post surgical rehabilitation)
In the weeks leading up to surgery it is extremely important to strengthen and mobilise your bidy so that the best possible surgical outcomes occur – there is a string evidence based to support what is known as “pre-habilitation”.
In the weeks and months following an operation, we’ll help you reduce your pain, reclaim your mobility, get moving again, and get you back to living life pain free.
Heyday Health and Physiotherapy can provide a programme – tailored specially for you and your condition – to minimise your pain and maximise your recovery. Your programme may include physiotherapy, gym-based exercise and/or pool-based exercise.
We have extensive experience in managing patients undergoing knee, hip, spinal and shoulder surgery. This includes, but is not limited to surgeries such as partial or full joint replacements, tendon and ligament repairs, fixations, fusions or discectomy’s.
We have close working relationships with the Gold Coast’s and Brisbane’s top orthopaedic specialists, and will communicate with your surgeon to ensure we have a complete understanding of both your operation, and the post-op care you need.

– Overactive bladder (urgency or frequency)
– Pelvic organ prolapse (+/- pessary fitting)
