I attended this business today, after years of being a loyal customer with my young autistic son only to be treated with what can only be described as disgusting service from the assistant (older blonde) whom has only recently been employed by Michael and Leyla. My son was being well behaved and patient as we collected our few groceries and at the counter after putting down our purchases ready to pay he selected a chocolate. We struggle with every day tasks so I was feeling well pleased, but instead of serving us the assistant instead chose to serve a man that had literally walked in the door and whom was standing behind us. She had to ask us to move so he could reach her. I found it odd but said nothing. By then my young child was becoming restless and agitated and I knew we had to hurry, but instead the assistant took her time scanning products and giving my son and I dirty looks. Then when asked to pay I opted for tap n go. She stood there, hand out to take my card as my now overwhelmed child began melting down on the floor. When I asked to tap it myself she huffed and mumbled and refused to move the machine so I could tap without mounting the counter all the while still glaring and snapping at us. I had numerous items to carry, so when I was paid and still clutching my child to stop a scene I had to ask for a bag, which she jammed all my items into together cleaning products with bread and drinks all squashed in together and mumbled something under her breath. Then she offered that she had no children and wasn't sad about it. I have been a local customer now for over 15 years. I however will never patronise this business again as the attitude I experienced today was completely unacceptable. The assistant is lucky I can control my tongue better than she can, because honestly she desperately needed someone to tell her her job is service, which I might add she does very poorly. It is not acceptable to treat people with such disrespect particularly when they are disabled. Had she just served us when it was our turn all could have been avoided. Might add until the gentlemen that got served before us came in we were alone in the store. I've been in customer service for 40 years, and not once did I allow myself the luxury of being so rude to strangers.
