About Elfin House Community Child Care Centre
Established in 1977, Elfin House has been a cherished member of the Rockhampton community for many years. Originally, the center was built with a specific purpose of providing high-quality childcare services, and it started operating in 1978 as a council-run center, making it one of the first childcare facilities in the area. In 1999, the center became parent-run and not-for-profit, with the help of a dedicated community and parents. Since then, Elfin House has been returning its profits to the center by maintaining its facilities and purchasing new equipment to benefit the children. Additionally, the center supports local businesses by advertising their companies or purchasing their goods and services. Elfin House's team of educators are highly qualified and experienced professionals, including two University qualified Early Childhood Teachers. They work collaboratively with the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader to provide the highest quality education and care for every child. As educators, they take their roles very seriously and understand the responsibility of nurturing children during their formative years.
