About East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital
East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital is dedicated to the prevention of health problems and treatment of sick and injured small domestic animals such as dogs and cats, but we also deal with other domestic animals such as birds, guinea pigs and other pocket pets. We also offer our services to deal with injured or sick wildlife on a no cost basis. Our animal hospital was established in 1984 and has grown from a one man veterinary surgery to the multi veterinarian animal hospital it is today. We use the latest in technology for the diagnosis and treatment of problems that our furry friends encounter. We also spend a lot of time on prevention of problems and have a number of animal health clubs that are active within the business. We offer special discounts for the members of these clubs and encourage all owners to ensure their animal stays healthy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I microchip my dog or cat?
It is the law now in Queensland that both dogs and cats need to be microchipped when a puppy or a kitten. The council encourages all owners to have their animals microchipped. From a veterinary point of view we encourage all owners to microchip so that if the animal is presented to our animal hospital injured or found wandering the streets we can contact the owner as soon as possible.
What diseases do I need to vaccinate my cat for?
There are a number of diseases we recommend cats are vaccinated against. We use and recommend a F4 and that vaccinates the cat against Feline Enteritis (now called Feline Parvo), Feline Herpes and Feline Calicivirus (often called Cat Flu) and Chlamydia (an eye and upper respiratory problem). We recommend all cats are vaccinated once a year.
