About Dr Kim Cheshire – Potential Self
Being a local for 47 years, Dr Kim Cheshire may be known to you already. Dr Cheshire has worked and travelled extensively through North West Queensland and has ventured Nationally and Internationally for professional and personal experiences.
Dr Cheshire has been known for her work in the clinical fields of trauma, anxiety and depression, as well as providing confidential support and reflection for professionals. Dr Cheshire communicates in an appropriate and companionable fashion relative to the person. She focuses on listening to individuals and understanding their concerns to address their issues appropriately. Dr Cheshire aims at building a tool kit for individuals to build resilience while looking at personal concerns in more depth.
Dr Cheshire also assists children and families in a clinical capacity. She has devoted additional support for families and children coping with anxiety and depression, frustration and anger, and poor self confidence. She provides understanding and support for those living with ADHD, and fosters positive parenting approaches. Dr Cheshire has worked together with schools and care givers to assist children have emotional balance and a happy life by supporting them and those around them.
