Do you offer sustainable building?

Sustainably sourced products are standard throughout NSW and all of our construction materials are obtained within NSW for any sustainable home renovation.  We can also provide you with ideas throughout your build to reduce the ongoing effects of greenhouse gasses on our planet using techniques from our designers.

What insurances & qualifications do you have?

Shane is a qualified builder who holds a Builders Licence Certificate IV in Building and Construction.   His team includes Shannon, a qualified carpenter for over 20 years, and Matt, a knowledgeable 2nd-year apprentice.  Dependabuild also has Public Liability Insurance, Contract Works Insurance and HBCF Insurance eligibility.

Yes. We can provide you with our designer to help incorporate whatever style of renovation you are looking for.

We can provide you with designers, engineers and trades to ensure the renovation is structurally sound and completed within your expectations and for your enjoyment in years to come.

How much contact is available during the build?

Shane is on-site and available by email to answer your questions. He is also available on Mobile during business hours (8 am- 5 pm Monday to Friday).

What happens if I change my mind during a build or renovation?

Accepted Answer

We take the time to ensure the Scope of Works is solid and well mapped out, clarity is key throughout this process as changing your mind during a fixed price project can become expensive for the client.  We offer the alternative of using a cost-plus contract if the Scope of Works may change throughout the build to help meet changing budgets.

Do we have to move out during a renovation?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the renovation. If you are remodelling your home to a large extent, there may be many disruptions that would inconvenience you throughout the process. It is recommended to talk to Shane prior to the work commencing to help you to understand the level of disruption the renovation may generate.

Wood, Steel, Concrete, Stone, Brick, Composite Wood and recycled materials.

What is covered in your project proposals?

Accepted Answer

An itemised Scope of Work is provided which contains work details, schedules, terms and expected outcomes. Our contract is professionally provided by the Master Builders Association of NSW. The advantage of using a Master Builders Contract is that the contract is regularly updated and includes all relevant Commonwealth and state or territory building laws applicable for your specific project.
